Updates to M+A Product Names

Meet Our New Product Lines

Revolutionizing Matting – One Step at a Time!

When Mountville and the Andersen Company merged in 2018 to form M+A Matting, we never fully addressed the differences in our product naming conventions. Over time, this has resulted in inconsistencies that make our product offerings challenging to learn and to understand.

To strengthen our leadership in the matting industry and establish a clearer, more intuitive product naming system, we’ve introduced name changes designed to achieve three key objectives:

  • Simplify our message
  • Make product names more intuitive for our customers
  • Highlight key features, materials, and applications

Approximately 35% of our product names are updated. Below, you’ll find an overview and a complete list of changes. We understand this transition will take time and are here to support you.

Overview:

All products are categorized into one of eight new collections designed to help you navigate product categories and placement opportunities. Each collection has one or more series of products featuring similar characteristics. For example, the Nylon Classic Series features carpeted mats with only nylon yarn.

A few key points to note:

  • If a product is not listed above, the name has no changes.
  • All nylon products are now labeled “Classic” while keeping the existing name. (Ex: Classic MicroLuxx)
  • “Max” denotes higher weight, top-of-the-line, or best-in-class product.
  • “Yellow” will indicate striped borders.

This initiative began in August 2023 with the update to our WaterHog Collection. Like this transition, not all products were renamed, but the change was well received and has made it easier to understand and identify our products.
